A roar burst forth after participating in the 2017 Women’s March in downtown San Diego. In what I now call my “Outburst” series, fiery comic-like creatures emerged alongside text and signage. I am in solidarity with all the people who are resisting, persisting, and working tirelessly for human rights — “Black Lives Matter”– “Me Too” –“United We Dream”–“Power to the Polls” and “Times Up”!!!

Through interruptions, censure, violence and threatening behavior — both in person and online — women are silenced every day.
