Eyes stare out, curious, blank, confounded! What is the narrative? Who is forming it and where is it going?
After saying to myself: “This piece is complete,” I saw a Facebook post by my poet friend Diane Gage:
“speak to me in bird
humming mother
cornucopia throat
this life, this life
quicksilver shimmer
then gone again”
The zeitgeist of happenings that all of us are roiling from continues to frighten and excite me. Holding on, yet slipping away, emergence and destruction intermingle. With so many narratives and forms of expression, it feels like we are all on the spectrum searching for ways to dance with survival.
